This is where you need to be if you have any dental work that needs to be done. Biological dentistry is like regular dentistry but way more advanced. Dr. Abramyan uses ozone, PRF, lasers, dental cone beam CT. She's thorough and explains everything well, and is proactive in helping you to understand everything that's going on. She gets you to explore your options and try to make an informed decision on what you want to do with your dental wellness. Instead of her just telling you what needs to be done, she does a great job of helping you understand everything that's happening inside your mouth, what her suggestions are, how things work, and helps you to decide what to do. We found Dr. Abramyan through the IAOMT website and she was the only biological dentist in California (that answered the call) that took children. Our daughter had an abscess on one of her teeth, and we didn't trust the dentist that did her work (4 crowns that probably led to causing the abscess in the first place). Dr. Abramyan examined our daughter and told us that she didn't need those crowns to begin with--they could have been fillings, and that in fact, we didn't even need to do anything for them--they would fall out anyway since they were baby teeth, and the infection would go away once the teeth fell out. She carefully went through our x-ray (from the other dental office) and showed us where the infection was, which teeth it was affecting, and where her adult teeth were. Since they were stainless steel caps, she said we could pull them to get the metal out of her mouth, and we were going to do that, but then a few days later, my daughter woke up with those teeth wiggling and we decided not to pull them! We had such a good experience with her treating our daughter, that we decided to do dental exams for ourselves as well. And it's DIFFERENT, in such a good way. She starts off by doing a cranio-sacral massage, inspecting your posture, your skull, your spine, asking you how you live your life, how your breathing is, how your jaw is, what type of lifestyle do you have, how your sleeping is. You take a cone beam CT and you get to see a whole 3d image of your skull and the top of your spinal column. She exams the density of your bone in your jaw and surrounding areas, the shape of your nasal passages, the size of your airway and the position of your spine. Using all of this info and looking holistically at your lifestyle, she creates a picture of your dental health for you, letting your know where you need to focus on. For my wife, the cone CT detected two infections in previous root canals, and at the time of this writing, we've removed one of them. The way she did the extraction of a molar is also different than what a normal dentist would do. Instead of simply pulling the tooth out, she used a different technique to be as minimally invasive as possible. She cut the tooth in half and pulled out each root individually, so as to preserve the bone matter that is between the roots. Pulling a tooth will often pull out the bone matter between the roots. She then made sure to clean out the periodontal ligament under the tooth. This is all while having ozone water running through and cleaning the area the entire time. She then used my wife's blood to make PRF mixed with some collagen and inserted it into the extraction site, suturing the wound up afterward. Two weeks later, and my wife's extraction site is so pretty and pink and clean looking! I'm not a dentist or a medical professional, so hopefully I got the above correct, but in any case, my family and I have tried to understand and take our dental health much more into our own hands, and Dr. Abramyan has helped us immensely through this journey. She doesn't take insurance, and in my opinion, that's even better. If you have dental issues and you're looking for someone who understands the latest technologies and want to heal as naturally and with the least interventions/invasive procedures as possible, call her office. You'll thank yourself for the rest of your life.
